Born on a hippie commune in Sebastopol, California surrounded by artists, he began playing different instruments as soon as he could. His first formal lessons began at age four with the violin and then at eight, he knew he had a stronger interest in the piano and switched.

His natural talent was obvious to everyone around him. He trained classically, but taught himself at home from all the albums his parents surrounded him with. Quite quickly, he became affluent with the works of Johnnie Johnson, James Booker, and Otis Spann and was known as the quirky teenager playing ragtime, boogie-woogie, stride, and blues.

After studying music at CalArts, Sasha moved to Echo Park and played locally with his own band, and many various artists including Jesca Hoop, The Winter Flowers, Sara Lov, New Tokyo Terror and many others.

2010 was an exciting year. An independent film he scored, "Surgeons of Hope", won an Emmy award. He also wrote a hit song with his wife, Vivian for Taiwanese pop star Yoga Lin. The song, "Fly My Way" peaked and held at #1 on the radio charts for over 3 weeks straight in Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Sasha is currently recording keyboards for various artists in Los Angeles, writing music for TV and Film, and will be performing this summer with his new band "Thank You, Goodbye".
